Lucy was born unwanted under a trailer in Spencer. A good-hearted resident took her, her sister, and another male kitten inside, but could not afford to keep and provide veterinary care for all three. The male was neutered via The Owl House, and the two sisters came here to be adopted. Lucy is a friendly little cat, who will take a little time getting used to her new home, but then will be a bright star in your day. She is playful and curious. She would be best as an only cat, or adopted with her sister, or introduced carefully to another easygoing cat, because if a cat picks on her, she doesn't fool around making it known she's the top lady! The Owl House is a neighbors-helping-neighbors program in rural Spencer NY, assisting low-income and senior residents spay/neuter cats that have been abandoned on their property. Friendly cats and kittens are adopted into homes to reduce the burden on local shelters. We often deliver our cats so adopters must be within at least two hours of Spencer. We sometimes will go farther for a special home so feel free to inquire. Our $50 adoption fee should be made payable to our veterinarian so you know 100% of your contribution goes to future cat rescue.
